Fatéma Hal

Fatéma Hal was born in Oujda in Morocco . After completing her studies in ethnology at the Ecole Pratique des Hautes Etudes in Paris , she was technical consultant in the cabinet of the Minister of Women’s Rights, Yvette Roudy. Subsequently she opened her famous restaurant ‘Le Mansouria’ in 1984, situated at 11 rue Faidherbe in the 11 th arondissement of Paris . She has written many books: Les Saveurs et les Gestes, Le Livre du Couscous (Stock), La Cuisine du Maroc (Pacific), and Le Grand Livre de la Cuisine Marocaine (Hachette Pratique). She has a television programme on Cuisine TV, and organises and takes part in cultural and cookery events all over the world.

 

Spirit of Fes Foundation

The Spirit of Fes Foundation, a non-profit association, was inaugurated in Fes on 24 September 2005 . The Foundation, which is to act on both a national and international level, has as its mission statement to initiate, coordinate, plan and present, from the basis of culture, various activities that will benefit the city of Fes and its culture, in particular the development of cultural tourism.

The Foundation organises the Fes Festival of World Sacred Music, and the twelfth Festival takes place from 2 to 10 June 2006 .

 

Fes Regional Tourism Authority

The Fes Regional Tourism Authority (CRT de Fès) is an association that promotes tourist activity in the Fes Boulmane region, in order to establish and consolidate the area’s position as a tourism destination, to work towards and encourage tourism investment and to initiate the establishment of a Development Programme for Regional Tourism (PDRT).
